Patriquin Architects

Organization Overview
Patriquin Architects is a team of exceptional architects and designers. Established in 2010, the office has expertise in a variety of educational, commercial, multi-family housing and mixed-use project typologies. We have been recognized across the industry for exceptional achievements in design, in sustainability, and in collaboration. We are also leaders in advancing issues of equity, diversity and justice in the design and construction industry.
The studio setting of our office fosters inclusive design excellence across all of our various project types. Our process is driven by a focus on solutions to the particular needs of each client and their project, rather than stylistic assumptions or prerogatives. We approach each project with transparency, communication and enthusiasm to build consensus and commitment. Our mission is to provide value and satisfaction to all of our clients by creating thoughtful, sustainable and elegant design solutions. This includes championing design and construction practices that couple high-performance exterior envelopes with electrification of mechanical systems to create healthy environments for occupants and exceptionally low energy use buildings.
Patriquin Architects lead by example through thoughtful design and diverse teamwork to build a more sustainable, equitable and inclusive world. We are community architects with strong ties to our historic (Passive House certified) office building at 20 Grand Avenue, the oldest freestanding commercial building in New Haven, built in 1816, awarded AIA Connecticut’s Sustainable Architectural Award of Excellence in 2023.
Patriquin Architects is a Woman-Owned MBE, proud participants in AIA-CT’s Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Challenge and the AIA Materials Pledge. In 2022, we received AIA-CT's J.E.D.I. Small Firm Award.
