Construction Management II


**SPRING 2020 UPDATE: This workshop is being offered fully online. Participants will be granted online access April 7, 2020.


This workshop follows Construction Management I, and continues with pre-construction through construction & project closeout.


Learning Objectives 

  • Ensure that essential quality, time and cost targets are met through an effective development process during:
    (1) Pre-construction through the construction phase of a project. 
    (2) Project closeout phase.
  • Learning through real life case studies and problem scenarios

Instructor Bios

Pasquale “Bud” Salemi, Former Deputy Commissioner

Bud Salemi is the Owner and Manager of PROCONSUL, LLC., a Consulting and Advocacy Service dedicated to providing the Planning, Design, Construction and Facilities Management Industries with Strategic Solutions for Project Management issues. He is currently a Certified Instructor in CMAA’s nationwide CCM Program. During a 40 year plus career he has  worked as Licensed Construction Contractor, Development Planner, State Certified Building Inspector, Director of Inspections and Permits, Instructor in State Trade License Program, Construction Project Manager, Contract Compliance Officer, Business Development and Marketing Manager, Board Member of a Major Public Utility and Commissioner of Construction Services from the State of Connecticut.

Eugene Torone, DBIA, President, SLAM Construction Services

Gene Torone is President of SLAM Construction Services and a Designated Design-Build Professional™ (DBIA™). He brings over 35 years of experience planning and managing construction projects, including 22 years managing design-build projects. He has been responsible for the management of 66 design-build construction projects and hundreds of construction projects. His experience includes work for educational, medical, corporate and public sector clients. He is particularly adept at devising highly effective delivery plans and construction methods using innovative fast-track and design-build techniques.
