Project Scope Management

BLENDED LEARNING SESSION!

ONLINE TRAINING: Begins October 1, 2019

LIVE INSTRUCTOR SESSION: October 8, 2019 from 8:30 A.M. - 11:30 A.M.

Blended Learning Session

What is "Blended Learning"?  Blended learning sessions (also known as hybrid or mixed-mode courses) are classes where a portion of the traditional face-to-face instruction is replaced by web-based online learning. This allows the participant to work through most of the training at their own pace, and according to their own schedule.

Description of this Session

This workshop provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to gather requirements, accurately define project scope that details all work components and learn the elements involved in verifying key project deliverables, as well as detect variances from the scope baseline and recommend corrective action during design, bid phase and construction.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENT

This workshop is a requirement in CI's Project Management Certificate program.

Learning Objectives

  • Define project scope & translate it into a complete set of construction documents.
  • Learn how a project work plan provides understanding among stakeholders, enables the team to perform project planning in defining criteria, project goals, expectations & minimize change.
  • Understand that change is inevitable due to owner-driven changes, scope deficiencies & changes that result from insufficient construction documents.
  • Identify scope creep, how project managers analyze each request and communicate the impact & alternatives.
