Guidelines for Design and Construction of Health Care Facilities:
Major Revisions to the 2018 Edition


 

Description

The 2018 Edition of the Guidelines for Design and Construction of Hospitals and Outpatient Facilities was published in January of 2018. This workshop will address the major changes between the 2014 and 2018 editions of the Guidelines and the logic supporting the revisions.  Other Facility Guidelines Institute (FGI) initiatives in progress supporting the development of white papers that are focused on improving the healthcare built environment will also be discussed.

 

Learning Objectives

  • Understand the Facility Guidelines Institute (FGI) / Guidelines overview, history and process.

  • Learn the major changes between the 2014 and 2018 editions of the Guidelines.

  • Gain an overview of the new Guidelines for Residential Health, Care and Support Facilities.

  • Learn about FGI whitepaper and research initiatives.

 

Note: In-person attendance is required for this workshop.
