REINVENTING THE PROJECT COMMUNICATIONS TOOLKIT
What: We would like to bring together our cross-industry, cross-generational industryREdesign team to crowd-source the communications techniques that work best to facilitate effective collaboration among project participants.
How: We will work in teams to answer the question "What's in your toolkit?" Which techniques work all the time? Which are best suited to large projects? Small projects? public projects? etc. We want to capture your real world experience, observations, and ideas. Anything can be added to the toolbox for any stage of the process, from templates for weekly meetings between the contractor and owner and design team, to co-location, to sharing process plans. What are the tools you use to promote project success? Bring examples of things you are willing share to help build our toolkit.
Why: The Construction Institute is currently drafting "Protocols for Best Practices in Project Communication." Our goal is to create a curated toolbox that helps practitioners pick up the right tool at the right time. The results of this industryREdesign session will be incorporated into the Protocols. Contributors will be credited in published version of the Protocols.
