Career Readiness Programs

CI Members are invited to participate in a variety of Career Readiness events with the University of Hartford's College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture (CETA).  

 

If you would like to be involved in any of the events listed, please contact Ricky Barrett (Career Center), Julie Spring (CETA Student Services) or Laura Eldredge (Construction Institute).


  

Spring 2017

FEBRUARY

02/21: Business & Technology Career Fair

The Business Technology Fair provides you with the opportunity to discuss your organization’s employment needs with talented undergraduate and graduate CETA & Barney School Business students interested in both full-time opportunities and internships. 02/24: Networkology Event #3 - Panel with CETA BOV

The Networkology Programs™ is an opportunity for students to speak with you to gain a working knowledge of the profession and to learn more about the types of careers they might wish to pursue after completing their education. CETA’s Board of Visitors and professionals will assist students with honing their networking skills in engineering, technology, and/or architecture professions.  Contact Julie Spring (CETA Student Services) for more information about participating in this event.

MARCH

03/09: Resume Boot Camp

Resume Boot-Camps allow students to have their resumes reviewed and critiqued by representatives from a variety of companies. This program gives employers the chance to give advice based on their years of experience reviewing resumes for open positions at their respective companies. Employers who participate are able to connect with students who may be seeking jobs and internships.

 
03/15: Networkology Event #4: Civil Dinner

The Networkology Programs™ is an opportunity for students to speak with you to gain a working knowledge of the profession and to learn more about the types of careers they might wish to pursue after completing their education. Contact Julie Spring (CETA Student Services) for more information about participating in this event.

 

03/30: Networkology Event #4: All Majors Dinner

The Networkology Programs™ is an opportunity for students to speak with you to gain a working knowledge of the profession and to learn more about the types of careers they might wish to pursue after completing their education. Contact Julie Spring (CETA Student Services) for more information about participating in this event.

 

03/27-04/14: Mock Interviews

Students will visit your office and interview for a "mock" entry-level position at your company.

 

APRIL

04/18: Scholarship Luncheon

This celebratory event honors many high achieving students in CETA for their academic success and accomplishment in their disciplines. 

 

MAY

05/05: Design Expo

The CETA Design Expo is a chance for students to present the projects that they have been working on all semester. You are invited and encouraged to participate as a judge. The Design Expo serves as another way you can connect with students. Contact Julie Spring (CETA Student Services) for more information about participating in this event.
