Marvin B. Morganbesser - A Lifetime Friend

Marvin Morganbesser was President and Council for the Connecticut Construction Industries Association (CCIA) from 1977 until his retirement in 2008. A part of the CT's construction industry for over 40 years, he presided over the largest-staffed construction association in Connecticut.
Marvin was a founding member of the Construction Institute and an important contributor to the organization. He served on the Board of Advisors and was a valued participant in the Institute's Strategic Planning process.
We are sad to lose our good friend Marvin Morganbesser and his outstanding contributions to the state’s construction industry, to the Construction Institute, University of Hartford, and his continued commitment to his community.
Marvin Morganbesser was retired President and founder of the Connecticut Construction Industries Association. Marvin took all of his negotiation skills with him when he left us on Thursday, October 11, 2012 (10/11/12). Marvin, as CCIA President, since 1971, gathered all facets of the commercial construction industry together, shared a vision to move CT forward via the construction industry with improvements to our infrastructure, and changed the lives of millions of Connecticut citizens for the better. Marvin "retired" from CCIA in 2008. He and his wife Norma have been living in Falls Church, VA, close by his daughter Jill and family for the past year.
Services are Monday, 10/15/12 at 10am

Connecticut's construction industry will always remember Marvin Morganbesser; he was as a bridge to a "Better Connecticut."
