Special State of the Construction Economy Forum
"Managing Construction's Financial Crisis"

The current financial environment is one of the most severe we have seen in decades. It will be a time of change, challenge and also opportunity for our industry.

The Institute has established a task group to keep abreast of the federal government's recovery initiatives as information becomes available during the first quarter of the year. Access to this information will be crucial to the strategies that each of us build as we attempt to manage the impact of the financial crisis on each of our businesses...and a detailed understanding of its impact for all of us will be critical.

On Friday, May 8, the Institute is planning to bring this key information to our Membership through a Special State of the Construction Economy Forum.

The program will focus on two main areas:
1) The Federal Stimulus Package with details on content (function, location, responsibility and control; time for expenditure; who and how the monies will be allocated and reporting requirements.
2) The impact of this financial crisis on the future landscape of the construction industry and what changes your firms will have to make to capitalize on the challenges ahead to survive through the current market turmoil.

Look for more information soon on this program.
