BIM - MEP Coordination for Contractors
This workshop will provide a foundation for participants to understand, establish and execute the BIM process specifically for MEP systems. BIM MEP improves visualization, increases productivity due to easy retrieval of information, aids coordination of construction documents, provides an opportunity to embed and link vital information such as O&M manuals for building maintenance, allows for accurate extraction of quantities required for estimation and tendering, increases speed of delivery and reduces costs. BIM also assists the construction process: thus creating a more efficient and safer project, and ultimately reduces conflicts and challenges in the field. The workshop provides a participatory environment that balances instructor led presentation with interactive discussion focusing on three main topics using specific real world examples will accompany the presentation.
