Wednesday, January 20, 2010
8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Using real world examples and a case study, participants will learn skills and techniques in all aspects of estimating to deliver an optimum estimate and proposal for clients.
The estimator’s role in construction cost management and determining cost categories will be covered. During the class, participants will use these skills in the development of a bid from general contractor’s perspective. Change Order costs - or “changes in condition” that back-up and determine the change order cost values will also be examined. A mini-workshop on blueprint reading will be included with blueprint handouts.
Instructor: Dexter Murphy, P.E., CPE, PMP, is the Chief Estimator for A/Z Corporation with more than 30 years of experience in cost estimation and budgeting of a wide range of construction projects.
