Sustainable Site Design
Tuesday, May 5, 2009
Whether you call it sustainability, green, or low impact design, it’s not only the right thing for the environment, but it makes good business sense. This seminar will cover concepts and practices as well as discuss common pitfalls and reasons for failure. Topics include the convergence of sustainable site design with planning philosophies such as New Urbanism, the US Green Building Council LEED program, and issues encountered in construction and maintenance of low impact design, especially in the New England climate.
Kent Schwendy, P.E., LEED-AP is Vice President of Development Services with Fuss & O’Neill, Inc. specializing in sustainable site design, green parking, innovative stormwater management solutions, and wetlands mitigation/creation.
