Workshops for Construction, Design and Facilities Management Professionals, offered in collaboration with the with the University of Hartford’s Center for Professional Development, provide intensive hands-on training targeted to specific, immediate needs of industry professionals. Participants can select from a wide range of half-day workshops focusing on current issues in business management and development design, facility management, law and project management.

Cost
The fee for Construction Institute Members is *$165 for each individual workshop, unless otherwise indicated. Two-session workshops normally cost *$330. *Member Bonus!
The fee Non-Construction Institute Members for each individual workshop is $195, unless otherwise indicated. Two-session workshops normally cost $395.
Cancellations/Refunds/Substitutions There is a $35 cancellation fee. Seven business days notice is required for any refund. Refunds will not be granted with less notice. Substitutions may be made before the start date of any workshop. Please let us know as soon as possible. Workshops may be rescheduled due to instructor conflict. We reserve the right to cancel due to insufficient enrollment, in which case workshop fees will be refunded in full.
Workshop Location and Directions Construction Institute Professional Development Workshops are normally held at Babcock House, 260 Girard Avenue, home of the Construction Institute, on the University of Hartford's Asylum Avenue Campus. To confirm classroom call 860-768-5634.
Free Parking Parking is conveniently located a short walk away in the B Lot on the Asylum Avenue Campus. Enter the lot through the entrance on Asylum Avenue and park anywhere on the left. Walk accross the parking lot to the right and take the poot path to Babcock House and the Construction Institute. On street parking is also available on Girard Avenue (No on street parking on Wednesday mornings).
Directions Construction Institute, 260 Girard Avenue, Hartford, Connecticut: Take I-84 East or West to Exit 46 (Sisson Avenue). At the bottom of the exit ramp, turn Right onto Sisson, remaining in the left lane. At the second traffic light, turn Left onto Farmington. Take the next Right onto Girard (at a Shell Station). Continue on Girard Avenue to #260, which is the last driveway on the right before the intersection of Asylum Avenue. (Parking for workshops is next door on the Asylum Avenue campus, see above)
Center for Professional Development, 50 Elizabeth Street, Hartford, Connecticut: Take I-84 East or West to Exit 46 (Sisson Avenue). At the bottom of the exit ramp, turn Right onto Sisson, remaining in the left lane. At the second traffic light, turn Left onto Farmington. Take the next Right onto Girard (at a Shell Station). At the second stop sign, Turn Right onto Elizabeth. #50 Elizabeth is the 4th house on the left. There is a sign above the door "Center for Professional Development". Please park to the rear of the lot, or in the connecting lot whenever possible. There is additional parking at #30 Elizabeth St.

Construction professionals who earn a certificate expand their knowledge of the industry while demonstrating the desire for professional growth. Certificate program participation offers discounted fees and is a notable addition to your résumé or portfolio. CEU's are available.
Requirements & Fee Earn the Certificate in Construction Management by completing six workshops including four "core" workshops and two electives, from an extensive list of informative offerings. If you register and pay for all six workshops at one time, you pay a discounted fee of $1,060 (a $110 savings off the price of individual workshops).
