Senior Vice President - Skanska USA Building Inc.
Mark Miller is the Senior Vice President / Account Manager for Washington DC operations with Skanska USA Building. As a member of the Senior Management team, Miller guides the current growth of the Washington DC office while continuing to strengthen operational performance. He supports Skansa's position with existing clients and engages key potential new ones as well.
Miller brings more than 25 years of construction expertise and spent the last four years with Skanska working out of the Connecticut office. He has a history of completing many successful projects on time and under budget to a diverse group of clients. His experience spans across a wide range of industries including, healthcare, research, hospitality, municipal, higher education, office, mixed-use facilities, and parking. He has also delivered various project types, such as private-public partnerships (P3) and complex industrial infrastructure projects, including nuclear and fossil fuel power plants and cement production facilities.
Most recently, Miller completed the new Stamford Hospital Expansion and Renovation project, delivering a new 650,000 SF state of the art hospital in Fairfield County, Connecticut for Stamford Health, one of Connecticut’s largest hospitals. Previous landmark projects completed by Miller include the Howard Hughes Medical Institute’s, Janelia Farm Research Campus in Ashburn, VA., The Newseum, Washington DC, Salamander Resort & Spa in Middleburg, VA and the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute in Tampa, FL.
Miller graduated from Case Western Reserve University in Ohio with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering. He then went on to study at the University of South Florida where he graduated with a Master of Business Administration. Most recently, he graduated from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design, with distinction, where he earned a Master of Design in real estate and urban development.
He's a licensed professional engineer and certified general contractor, as well as a LEED Accredited Professional. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Construction Institute at the University of Hartford.
