Kathyann Cowles, AIA, NCARB

Architectural Principal - Id3a

Ms. Cowles has over 35 years of experience as a licensed Architect for diverse and complex design and construction projects focusing on Academic, Science and Technology environments. She began her architectural career in Boston, working with several high-profile Architects, establishing her own firm at age 29. Currently, as Architecture Managing Principal for id3a, Kathy maintains a focus delivering consistently high-quality projects that add value to her clients through innovative design solutions, value management, and project controls. She has the proven ability to lead multiple interdisciplinary design teams through the Design and Construction Processes, including, the award-winning Charles H Barrows STEM Academy. 
Kathy studied at Boston College and received her Architectural degree from Pratt Institute, and was recently selected to participate in the American Arbitration Association Higginbotham Fellows program. She is a member of the American Institute of Architects, Society for College and University Planning, Professional Women in Construction, and serves as Co-Chair of the Board of Advisors to The Construction Institute.
