Vice President/Connecticut Division Manager - Alfred Benesch & Comp
Recognized in 2016 as a Life Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Jim Fuda, has over 40 years of civil engineering experience. As Vice President/Connecticut Division Manager, for Alfred Benesch & Company (Benesch), Jim oversees survey, planning, design, and construction support services for private- and public-sector projects. His expertise includes participation in Value Engineering and Constructability Review sessions; planning, design and engineering; and Quality Assurance/Quality Control services. Prior to joining Benesch, Jim served as the Regional Manager for large, national multi-disciplinary firms located in Connecticut.
Active in numerous professional organizations, Jim currently serves on the Board of Advisors for the Construction Institute (CI) and was on the Board of Directors for the Connecticut Building Congress (CBC), where he served as President from 2013-2014. He has been an active member of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) since 1980 and a member of ACEC/CT’s Board of Directors since 2010. Jim currently serves as ACEC/CT’s President, where he is leading efforts to improve and promote fairness in the public-contracting process, build the Chapter’s membership, and conduct joint programs with other A/E/C professional organizations. Jim was recognized as a 2015 Designer of the Year Finalist by the Associated General Contractors of Connecticut (AGC/CT) for his commitment to the industry, high level of leadership, record of professional and his professional contributions to the Design and construction industry.
